Abbotsford Co-operative Housing Association

Our members not only volunteer their time for the Board of Directors, but in maintenance, groundskeeping, administrative, support and social roles for the Co-operative and its staff.

Abbotsford Cooperative Housing Association was formed in 1968 and is BC’s first Housing Co-operative. We are not government funded or subsidized.We are completely independant,self governing and self administering.

We think we live in the BEST housing co-operative in BC. We have a great community and our members work very hard to keep it that way. Our Social Committee puts an enormous effort into the community life of our co-operative with a variety of events that include monthly pancake breakfasts and ‘Soup and a Bun’. Our Social Committee also puts on weekly events such as Game Day, Bingo nights, Cribbage nights. We have annual events like our Bake Sale, Christmas Dinner and occasional pot luck dinners and BBQ’s.
